Common issues
Profile status is stuck on “Active”
- Go to “Edit profile”
- Open the “Advanced” menu
- Go to “Other” and disable “Active session lock”
- If it persists, restart all systems that have opened the profile
Profile status is stuck on “Launching”
- Check your proxy:
- Go to “Edit profile”
- Open the “Proxy” menu
- Click “Check proxy”
- If you get an error, the proxy is offline or misconfigured. Check this page to fix it!
- Check your connection:
- Uninstall any conflicting antivirus, firewall, VPN, and proxy apps (such as Proxifier and SocksEscort).

Error: “Profile is not created/updated, unknown error”
- If you see “Expired” in the bottom-left corner:
- Enter your Billing dashboard
- Go to the “Subscription” tab
- Click “Renew subscription”
- Go to the “Invoices” tab
- Click “Pay now”
- If profile or team member limits are reached:
- Delete exceeding profiles and team members
- Restart the application
Error: “Application request limit is reached”
Quickly solved by restarting the application, this error might happen when:
- Running Multilogin 6 on multiple computers simultaneously
- Not restarting the app after over 2 weeks
- Too many concurrent opened profiles: even if you don't do anything, the app will still send requests to the server
Error: “Unable to save profile: User-Agent is empty”
There are three possible solutions:
- Check whether you meet our minimum system requirements
- Check fingerprint issues:
- Go to “Edit profile”
- Select the “Overview” tab
- Click “Get new fingerprint”
- Remove cached data:
- Go to “My account”
- Click “Open logs directory”
- Go back one folder
- Access “Data” folder
- Delete “Deps” folder
- Restart the app
Error: “Proxy plugin data missing”
To easily check whether your proxy plugin is up and running:
- Checking the proxy:
- Go to “Edit” profile
- Enter the "Proxy" tab
- Click "Check proxy"
- Update the profile
- Open the main application window
- Open the "Plugins" tab
- Check the list and make sure the proxy plugin in activated
- In case it is already activated:
- Deactivate and reactivate the proxy plugin
- Restart the application
- Repeat steps from method 1
- In case it is already activated:
Error: java.security.InvalidKeyException: must be passed recipient's private EC key for decryption
If you get this error message when you try to launch profiles, you just need to re-login to resolve it.
Troubleshooting
Sending logs to support
- Restart Multilogin
- Recreate the issue and try to reproduce the error message received
- Go to “My account”
- Click "Open logs directory"
- Archive all log files in the folder
- Send the ZIP or RAR file to [email protected]
Redownloading browser components
This will not cause any data loss – all your profiles and session data will be saved.
- Close Multilogin
- Navigate to the \.multiloginapp.com\data folder, which is located in the user directory
- Windows: C:\Users\%username%\.multiloginapp.com\data
- macOS: /Users/%username%/.multiloginapp.com/data
- Linux: /home/%username%/.multiloginapp.com/data
To find this folder on Mac, open Finder and press Cmd + Shift + H
to open a user folder, then press Cmd + Shift + .
(period) to show hidden files. After that, go to the .multiloginapp.com/data folder.
- Delete the Deps folder
- Launch Multilogin and let it download all the necessary browser components again

Reinstalling the app
These actions will log you out – make sure that you remember your Multilogin password.
This will not cause any data loss – all your profiles and session data will be saved.
- Close Multilogin
- Navigate to the user directory
- Windows: C:\Users\%username%\
- macOS: /Users/%username%/
- Linux: /home/%username%/
- Delete the .multiloginapp.com folder
- Launch Multilogin
- Wait for browser components to be downloaded
