Why we hold off on instant updates

We roll out new browser core versions about one to two weeks after their official release. Updates happen automatically when you launch a profile. Waiting might seem like a hassle, but trust us – it’s actually a smart move to keep your accounts safe and everything running smoothly.

Why patience pays off

Updating ASAP sounds great… until it’s not. Here’s why waiting is the better option:

• 🕵️ Vulnerability issues: fresh Chrome/Firefox updates are basically beta tests in disguise. Bugs and security flaws pop up, and it’s safer to update after those get fixed
• 🐞 Possible bugs: rushing into updates can lead to glitches and crashes. Delaying lets developers catch and fix problems before they mess with your workflow
• 🛑 Bans and restrictions: some websites take time to adapt to new browser cores. Updating too soon can make sites flag your profile as suspicious
• 🤖 Automation compatibility: tools like Puppeteer, Selenium, and other automation frameworks need time to adjust to browser updates. Jumping the gun can break your setups

While it might be tempting to update your browser core immediately, waiting just a bit ensures better security, stability, and compatibility. By letting developers work out the kinks and websites adjust to new versions, you’re saving yourself from potential headaches.
