How to auto-launch the desktop app in Multilogin X
To make the agent start automatically after each restart, choose your OS and follow the steps.
Windows
- Copy the shortcut of an app (you can find and make a shortcut out of
MLXDesktopApp.exeon the desktop or in the following directory:C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Multilogin X App - Press
Win+R - Type
shell:startupin the “Run” window
- Paste the shortcut in the “Start-up” folder
macOS
- Click Apple Menu → System Settings
- Select General in the sidebar
- Scroll and click Login Items & Extensions
- In the “Open at Login”, click the “+” button
- Click “Applications” → “Multilogin X App” → “Open”
Linux
Keep in mind that the article is written for Ubuntu. The other distributions are not officially supported.
- Click “Show Apps” button (in the left bottom corner)
- Click “Startup Applications”
- Click “Add” → “Browse”
- Choose “Other Locations” and go to the following directory: Computer → opt/mlxapp/ and choose desktop.bin
- Make a name for the program and click “Add”
