How to check and understand your browser fingerprint
What’s a browser fingerprint?
Why should you care about browser fingerprints?
Because websites are basically digital detectives. They use fingerprints to:
- Spot and block sketchy or fake activity
- Stop fraud and fake accounts
- Track what you do across different visits
So if you want to stay under the radar and dodge bans – especially when juggling multiple accounts – keeping your fingerprint
clean and consistent is a must.
How to check your browser fingerprint
Want to see what your browser is showing off? Use these tools to check your fingerprint and catch any weird stuff:
- Whoer IP: check your IP address and make sure it matches your intended location (default Multilogin checker)
- Pixelscan: get a detailed view of your browser fingerprint
- BrowserLeaks: spot any fingerprint inconsistencies that might expose your real identity
Here’s the process:
- Start your Multilogin profile
- Use one of the tools above to test your fingerprint
- Look for inconsistencies in IP address, browser version, or OS
- Adjust your settings in Multilogin to fix any mismatches
Will websites know I’m checking my fingerprint?
Nope! Websites can only peek at cookies that belong to their own domain. So:
- Multilogin cookies? Only Multilogin can see those
- Facebook cookies? Only Facebook’s business
This is called the Same-origin policy (SOP) – the browser’s way of keeping your info locked down.
