How to set auto-stop for cloud phones
Auto-stop helps you save money when you finish a task but forget to close the mobile profile. Set a time limit once, and Multilogin stops it automatically before an idle cloud phone quietly uses more paid minutes.
➡️ Go to “Account settings” → “Profile behavior” → switch on “Auto-stop mobile profiles” → choose the maximum runtime.
The longest timer is 3 hours. If one uninterrupted session continues past that point, only the first 180 minutes use your balance. Any extra runtime in the same session is free.
Use auto-stop for quick app tasks, testing, or automation runs when you know roughly how long the work should take.
Who can use this feature?
- 👨💻 Account owner and manager
- 💰 Available on Pro 20 and higher
Step 1: set auto-stop time
- Click “Account settings” in the top navigation bar
- Switch on “Auto-stop mobile profiles”
- Choose how long mobile profiles should run before Multilogin stops them

Step 2: start mobile profile
Start your mobile profile as usual.
The timer starts right away when the profile launches and appears next to the profile name.
Use the timer to check if the profile is:
- Still using paid minutes
- Close to stopping
- Already in free runtime after 3 hours
If your paid minutes reach 0 before the timer ends, Multilogin stops the profile right away.

Step 3: stop early if needed
You don’t have to wait for the timer.
For example, you set auto-stop to 1 hour but finish in 20 minutes. Stop the profile manually, and you’ll only be billed for those 20 minutes.

FAQ
What happens if auto-stop is off?
If auto-stop is off, mobile profiles keep running. If the same session reaches 3 hours, paid minutes stop at 180 minutes.
Any extra runtime after that is free for that same uninterrupted session.

What happens after 3 hours?
- If auto-stop is off, the profile keeps running and extra runtime is free.
- If auto-stop is on, the profile stops at the time you selected.
Do I need paid minutes to reach the free usage point?
Yes. The session needs enough paid minutes to reach 180 billed minutes first.
If your balance reaches 0 earlier, the profile stops.
Why can’t I edit the auto-stop setting?
You may not have the right role.
Only account owners and managers can edit auto-stop. Ask an owner or manager to update the setting for you.
Why did my profile stop before the selected time?
Your paid minutes may have reached 0.
When your balance reaches 0, Multilogin stops the profile right away.
Why didn’t my profile use the new timer?
The profile was probably already running before you changed the setting.
Stop the profile and launch it again to use the new auto-stop time.
Does activity reset the timer?
No. The timer keeps running whether you actively use the profile or leave it idle.
Can I set different timers for different profiles?
No. Auto-stop is an account-level setting, so the same timer applies to all mobile profiles.
What is the longest auto-stop time?
You can set auto-stop up to 3 hours.
