How proxies and Multilogin change what websites see

Ever wondered what really changes when you add a proxy – or, better yet, when you use it inside a Multilogin profile? Let’s break it down with a side-by-side comparison and explain exactly what’s going on behind the scenes.

In this example, our original location will be Belarus and our target location will be Romania.

The examples discussed in this article are just that – examples. In reality, Multilogin emulates or hides much more than just your IP, WebRTC, and DNS information. We also control various browser fingerprint details like screen resolution, fonts, and other unique identifiers, making it even harder for websites to track your activity or link your profiles.

🔴 Chrome + no proxy (fully exposed)

This is your default connection – no proxy, no protection.

What websites see:

  • Real IP address – 46.53.250.247
  • Real location – Belarus
  • ISP – your actual internet provider
  • WebRTC – disabled here, but on many setups it can leak your real IP
  • DNS leak – DNS requests go through your real ISP

In short: you’re totally visible – any website can detect exactly where you are and who your provider is.

🟡 Chrome + proxy (not fully hidden)

Now you’re using a proxy in Chrome – but without any fingerprint protection.

What changes:

  • IP address – 109.166.131.127 (Romania)
  • Location – changed to Romania thanks to the proxy
  • BUT... WebRTC leak shows your real IP – 46.53.250.247
  • DNS still leaks – your browser sends DNS requests to your original ISP

In short: looks better – but not foolproof. WebRTC and DNS leaks still reveal your real identity to websites.

🟢 Multilogin profile + proxy (fully protected)

Now you’re running the same proxy, but inside a Multilogin profile.

What’s fixed:

  • IP address – still 109.166.131.127 (Romania)
  • WebRTC – fully masked, no IP leaks
  • DNS leak – protected; DNS requests go through proxy servers
  • Everything aligns – location, IP, and fingerprint match your proxy setup

In short: this is what full stealth looks like. You blend in with normal mobile users from Romania, with no signs of your real location or setup.

What this means

Here’s a quick side-by-side comparison of what happens with different setups:

Final tip

Want to look like a real mobile or desktop user and avoid getting flagged or blocked? Use your proxies inside Multilogin profiles. That’s the only way to make sure your fingerprint, IP, and DNS data all match and stay protected.
