Setting up your profiles the right way helps you work faster, stay organized, and avoid mix-ups. This guide walks you through the basics – from naming your profiles to using cookies, proxies, tags, and notes.
Ready to level up your profile game? Let’s dive in!

Profile name
Good news: only you (and your team, if shared) can see your profile names – websites can’t. So feel free to name them whatever helps you stay organized! Here are some quick tips:
- Be specific: include the platform or purpose (e.g., “FB_Ad_Team1” or “Amazon_Seller_UK”)
- Keep it short & readable: 2–4 words max (e.g., “LinkedIn_LeadGen_Alice”)
- Follow a naming rule (if in a team): so everyone stays in sync and finds what they need faster

Pre-made cookies
This tool gives your browser profile a head start by adding pre-made cookies for the website you want to use. Just pick your site, create the profile, and boom – custom cookies are added automatically.
Don’t see your website? No stress! Choose “Other” from the list to get a general set of cookies that work well on most websites. You can also type in your website name – this helps us know what to add next!

Proxy
For online privacy, proxies are hands-down the best bet – you can give each profile its own IP, making them look like completely different users.
Head over to the section Proxies & IP masking to learn how to use Multilogin proxy, custom proxy, or what happens if you don’t use any proxy.

Start URL
A Start URL is the first page (or pages) that open when you launch a profile. It’s like setting your own custom homepage – but better. Whether it’s a login page, dashboard, or research tool, you’re instantly where you need to be.
- Add one or more URLs – each one will open in its own tab
- Choose if they should load only on the first launch or every time

Tags
Profile tags let you organize your profiles with custom labels. It’s like sticking sticky notes on your browser profiles so you instantly know what they’re for. You can add up to 10 tags per profile.

Note
The Notes feature lets you add short comments to individual profiles or entire folders. It’s perfect for reminders, status updates, or sharing quick context with your team. Max 200 characters – short and sweet!
