How to use Multilogin with 4G/5G connection

To manage multiple accounts in Multilogin without getting flagged, you need a unique IP address for each browser profile. While proxies are the go-to solution, you can also use a 4G/5G mobile connection.

Using a 4G/5G connection is a solid alternative to proxies, but it has limitations – like only supporting one profile at a time. If you need multiple profiles running at once, residential or mobile proxies might be a better fit.

Want to manage multiple accounts safely? Check out our SOCKS5 proxy & antidetect browser guide to learn how to boost privacy, bypass geo-blocks, and avoid detection.

Mobile connections vs. proxies

  • Proxies → Change the IP of a specific profile, allowing multiple profiles to run at once
  • 4G/5G connection → Changes the IP of your entire device, meaning you can only use one profile at a time

If you need multiple mobile IPs, consider using a mobile proxy farm with USB dongles. Each dongle needs a unique IP, port, username, and password to work properly.

How to use Multilogin with 4G/5G connection

  1. Connect your device to a mobile hotspot or modem
  2. Launch any browser profile in the app and check its IP address
  3. If you need to switch, close the current profile and change your IP (see recommendations below)

Remember to check your IP address after changing it to make sure the new one is assigned.

How to change the IP of your mobile connection

You can use any method below to change your mobile IP.

  • Switch the Airplane mode on and off for a mobile hotspot
  • Unplug your router or modem for at least five minutes (depends on how often your ISP renews IP addresses)

How to check your IP

Check fingerprint

Ready to see if your setup is airtight? Checking your fingerprint is like running a quick vibe check for your browser. Let’s make sure everything looks smooth and legit!

Use these tools to inspect your browser fingerprint:

  • Whoer IP: check your IP address and make sure it matches your intended location (default Multilogin checker)
  • Pixelscan: get a detailed view of your browser fingerprint
  • BrowserLeaks: spot any fingerprint inconsistencies that might expose your real identity

Can websites see I've visited the Whoer IP page or other checkers?

No. If you are worried that websites will read its cookies and find out that you are a Multilogin user, we've got good news for you!

Websites can only access cookies associated with their own domain. In other words, Multilogin cookies are visible only to Multilogin, while Facebook recognizes solely its own cookies. This principle is known as the "Same-origin policy" (SOP), a foundational concept dating back to the creation of the first browsers.

Here's how to check your fingerprint:

  1. Open your Multilogin profile
  2. Use one of the tools above to test your fingerprint
  3. Look for inconsistencies in IP address, browser version, or OS
  4. Adjust your settings in Multilogin to fix any mismatches
