How to adjust screen resolution

“Screen resolution” is set to “Masked” by default, so Multilogin picks a resolution for the profile automatically.

Your browser profile’s resolution doesn’t need to match your monitor exactly. A smaller profile resolution on a bigger screen is fine – the problem is when the profile resolution is larger than the screen you’re using.

➡️ Simple rule: choose a resolution that matches or is smaller than your screen. If you use the profile on several computers, make sure it fits the smallest screen too.

📱 Screen resolution settings are for browser profiles. If your workflow happens inside Android apps, use a cloud phone instead. You get a dedicated Android environment in the cloud without having to manage a pile of physical phones. Learn how cloud phones work.

When do I need to change the resolution?

You usually don’t need to change anything just because the browser looks smaller than your monitor.

For example:

Profile: 1920 × 1080
Your screen: 3840 × 2160
✅ No problem – your screen is bigger than the profile.

The browser won’t stretch across the whole 4K display because the profile is using its configured resolution. That’s expected.

The problem starts when the profile is larger than the screen you’re using:

Profile: 1920 × 1080
Your screen: 1366 × 768
⚠️ The profile is too large for that display.

Part of the browser window may not fit properly. Websites can read the screen size, available display area, and browser viewport, so it’s better when those values make sense together.

How to change the screen resolution

  1. Stop the browser profile
  2. Right-click the profile and pick “Edit”
  3. Open “Fingerprint” and scroll to “Screen resolution”
  4. Select “Custom”
  5. Choose a resolution that matches or is smaller than your screen
  6. Click “Update” and start the profile again

Tip: keep the browser window maximized for the most consistent setup.

Which resolution should I choose?

Pick a size that works on every computer where you use the profile.

Say you use:

  • A desktop with a 2560 × 1440 screen
  • A laptop with a 1920 × 1080 screen

Choose a profile resolution that also fits the 1920 × 1080 laptop.

In other words, use your smallest screen as the limit.

Why can’t I make the browser window bigger?

Multilogin keeps the browser within the resolution configured for the profile.

So if your profile is 1920 × 1080 and you open it on a 4K monitor, you won’t be able to stretch it across the whole 4K display.

Nothing’s broken. If you genuinely need more browser space, change “Screen resolution” to “Custom” and choose a larger value that still fits your screen.
