How to set auto-stop for cloud phones
Who can use this feature?
- 👨💻 Account owner and manager
- 💰 Available on all plans, except Trial
Ever left a mobile profile running by accident? Auto-stop has your back.
Set the time once, and Multilogin will stop the profile for you. And if one session goes past 3 hours, your paid minutes stop at 180 – the extra runtime is free.
Use this feature to:
- Stop mobile profiles automatically after a set time
- Avoid using paid minutes by accident
- Plan short testing or automation sessions better
- See when a long session is no longer using paid minutes
- Feel more in control of mobile profile billing
Step 1: set auto-stop time
- Click “Account settings” in the top navigation bar
- Switch on “Auto-stop mobile profiles”
- Choose how long mobile profiles should run before Multilogin stops them

Step 2: start mobile profile
Start your mobile profile as usual. The timer starts right away when the profile launches and shows up next to the profile name.
This helps you know if the profile is still using paid minutes, close to stopping, or already in free runtime after 3 hours.

Step 3: stop early if needed
You do not have to wait for the timer.
For example, you set auto-stop to 1 hour, but finish in 20 minutes. Stop the profile manually, and you will only be billed for those 20 minutes.

Something doesn't work?
I can't edit the auto-stop setting
You may not have the right role. Ask an owner or manager to update the setting.
My profile stopped before the selected time
Your paid minutes may have reached 0. When the balance reaches 0, the profile stops right away.
My profile didn't use the new timer
The profile was probably already running before you changed the setting. Stop and launch it again to use the new auto-stop time.
My profile passed 3 hours but still runs
That is expected when auto-stop is off. After 3 hours, extra runtime is free for that same uninterrupted session.
My profile crashed before 3 hours
A crash ends the session. When you launch the profile again, a new session starts from zero.
FAQ
What happens if auto-stop is off?
If auto-stop is off, mobile profiles keep running. If the same session reaches 3 hours, paid minutes stop at 180 minutes.
Any extra runtime after that is free for that same uninterrupted session.
Does activity reset the timer?
No. The timer keeps running no matter if you actively use the profile or if it's idle.
Can I set different timers for different profiles?
No – this is an account-level setting.
What is the longest auto-stop time?
You can set auto-stop up to 3 hours.
What happens after 3 hours?
If auto-stop is off, the profile keeps running and extra runtime is free.
Do I need paid minutes to reach the free usage point?
Yes. The session needs enough paid minutes to reach 180 billed minutes first. If your balance reaches 0 earlier, the profile stops.
