Why don’t cookies log you in to the target account?
You’ve imported cookies, but instead of being logged in automatically, you’re still stuck at the login screen. What’s up with that?
This isn’t always a problem! Some websites (like Google or Facebook) ask you to log in manually the first time, even if the cookies are fine. But if it’s still not working, the cookies might be corrupted, or the domain settings don’t match. Let's try the solutions below ⬇️
Option 1: double-check the cookie and domain settings
- Import the cookies into the profile
- Open the profile settings and confirm the cookies are there
Check cookies
Here's how you can view cookies in a browser:
- For Mimic, paste
chrome://settings/content/all
into the browser address bar - For Stealthfox, paste
about:preferences#privacy
into the browser address bar, and on the page that opens, select “Cookies” → “Manage data”
- Verify the domain in the cookies (for example, google.de, google.com, and so on)
Important: cookies for google.de won’t work for google.com, so make sure they match!
Option 2: use the EditThisCookie extension
- Install the EditThisCookie browser extension in your browser profile
- Import the cookies using the extension
- Test if you’re logged into the account
Nothing helps?
If your target website still asks you to log in, even after you have imported the necessary cookie files, please reach out to our support team. Send them your cookie file and they will test this use case!
