How to set up multiple social profiles in Multilogin

Written by Yelena V ( Updated on August 14th, 2026 )

Managing multiple social profiles is much easier when each account has its own environment from the start.

➡️ Choose mobile or web → create one cloud phone or browser profile per account → set its proxy and location → create or sign in to the account → keep using that same profile.

This way, every account keeps its own app or browser data, session, network, and history instead of mixing with other accounts.

This guide covers the Multilogin setup itself. For what to do after an account is created or added, see how to warm up social media accounts.

Step 1: choose a cloud phone or browser profile

The rule is simple – create one profile for each account on the target platform.

  • Use a cloud phone for mobile app workflows, like running Instagram or TikTok accounts from Android
  • Use a browser profile for web workflows, like managing Reddit, dashboards, or other browser-based tasks

➡️ Click “Profiles” in the top menu → pick “Mobile” or “Browser” in the left-side menu → click “Create”.

You don’t need to be an expert in fingerprinting, device parameters, or isolation settings – Multilogin generates the core environment for you.

  • Cloud phones: run genuine Android with 30+ device types across 12 brands – identifiers, system properties, sensors, battery, carrier, and location data are generated using real device logic
  • Browser profiles: use Multilogin’s fingerprint builder to create realistic combinations of browser, OS, hardware, screen, graphics, and other fingerprint data – the default values are designed to work together

Keep the default profile settings unless your workflow requires a specific change – random adjustments can make the environment less consistent.

Step 2: pick the right proxy and location

Multilogin proxies are built into the app, so you can set the proxy type and location for both cloud phones and browser profiles from the same dashboard.

➡️ Open the profile’s proxy settings → choose “Multilogin proxy” → select the proxy type and location → click “Check proxy”.

Choose the proxy based on how you plan to use the account.

  • Sticky residential or mobile proxy: best for flexible social, web, and mobile workflows – available across 30M+ IPs in 150+ countries and 1400+ cities, with sticky or rotating IP options
  • Static ISP proxy: best when one profile needs one stable IP over time – availability depends on current stock, and location selection is currently available at country level

Keep each account in its own profile with its own proxy setup. Choose a location that fits the account’s real workflow, and avoid unnecessary mismatches between the proxy region and other location signals.

Step 3: prepare the profile before adding the account

A little prep now can save you from fixing the setup after the account is already in use.

For cloud phones, install the app you actually need and make sure the proxy, location, and device environment are ready. There’s no confirmed benefit to filling a new cloud phone with random apps or using it for several days before signup.

➡️ Start the phone → click “Apps” in the bottom-left corner → find the app you need and click “Install”.

For browser profiles, build or add cookie history before creating a new account. You can browse manually, use Pre-made cookies, run CookieRobot, or import cookies from an existing browser session.

➡️ Right-click a browser profile → pick “Cookies” to see all warm-up options.

For a new browser account, build history in the profile you’ll keep using. For an existing account, import its cookies when you need to bring the saved session with you.

Step 4: create or sign in to the account

Once the profile is ready, create the account or sign in to the one you already have.

If you’re moving an existing account, check that you still have access to its email, phone number, two-factor authentication, or recovery codes. A platform may ask you to confirm a login from a new device or location.

After you’re in, keep using the cloud phone or browser profile assigned to that account whenever possible so its session and account data stay in the same environment.

The setup is done, but account warm-up may come next. See how to warm up social media accounts for practical tips.

FAQ

What if I need both the mobile app and the website?

Use the environment that fits each part of your workflow.

For example, a TikTok Shop seller can use a cloud phone to post, browse, and manage the account in the TikTok app, then use a browser profile for web-based work in Seller Center.

What if the platform asks me to verify a new login?

Use the account’s normal verification method. Before moving an existing account, make sure you can access its email, phone number, two-factor authentication, or recovery codes.

Can Multilogin prevent account restrictions?

Multilogin helps you keep social profiles in separate mobile or browser environments, but platform rules, account history, content, activity, and other factors can still affect account restrictions.
