How to use Android cloud phone features
Cloud phones are real Android phones in the cloud that you control from Multilogin. Apps and platforms see them just like normal devices.
Why bother with them? Well, they're handy when you're:
- Working with apps designed for mobile users
- Managing social media or ad accounts
When you start a cloud phone, it shows a live phone screen. A menu appears on the right, offering tools to manage the device and your tasks. Here's a brief overview of those tools:
- Timer: tracks the duration the cloud phone has been active – use it to keep tabs on your expenses, as with phones, you pay per minute
- Rotate: changes the screen's orientation from portrait to landscape and vice versa – handy for apps or games that function better sideways
- Screenshot: grabs a picture of what's on your screen and saves it to the phone's memory
- Upload: lets you transfer files to your phone – helpful for uploading creative materials, content, or media assets
- Export: lets you download files (not folders) from your phone – this is useful when you need to move files back to your computer
- Camera: functions like a real phone camera – you can use it for scanning or verification
- Apps: here you can install, update, and uninstall apps – learn more in How to install apps on cloud phones
To open the phone menu and see the list of installed apps, scroll up on the phone screen: click on the screen, drag upward, then release.
