How to use profile tags in Multilogin X
Who can use this feature?
What profile tags are
Profile tags are like digital sticky notes for your profiles. You can add up to 10 tags per profile to help organize them by client, purpose, workflow, or anything else that makes sense to you. They’re color-coded for quick visual recognition, and you can reuse them across your workspace to keep everything tidy and easy to navigate.
Benefits of profile tags
- Find profiles faster: use tags to search and filter – say goodbye to scrolling forever
- Stay organized: label profiles by use case, status, team, or whatever works for you
- Simplify your workflow: visual groupings make things easier than folders
- Tag color magic: color-coded tags let you instantly differentiate between profile types
How to add profile tags
From the profile list
- Click the pencil icon in the “Tags” column next to the profile you need
- Type in your tags in the pop-up window and hit Enter to add

From profile settings
- Open the profile settings and scroll to the tags section
- Type in your tags and hit Enter to add
- Save your changes by creating or updating the profile

How to manage profile tags
Tags are saved at the workspace level, meaning they’re accessible for all profiles in that workspace. You can store up to 100 tags at once, so there’s plenty of room for all your organizing needs.
- Click the “Manage tags” icon in the top menu of the main profile dashboard
- Here, you can:
- Create new tags
- Edit existing tags
- Delete tags from your workspace (when a tag is deleted, it’s wiped from all profiles using that tag within the workspace)

How to filter profiles by tags
Want to narrow down your profiles quickly? Use the new filtering system to filter by tags! It works on a Match ANY basis, meaning profiles with any of the selected tags will show up.
- Click the filter icon in the “Tags” column of the main profile dashboard
- Select the tags you want to filter by
- Click “Filter” to view the profiles with the selected tags

Pro tips
- Combine tags with filters for custom profile views
- Stick to a naming pattern (e.g., “Client-A”, “Test-01”) to stay consistent
- Use color-coded tags for fast recognition across large sets
