Still using Multilogin 6? We are moving all users to the new Multilogin version. This article explains how migration works, what to expect, and how to access your account after the move.

Want to know what changed? Read this article: New Multilogin version: how is it different from version 6.

Who is being migrated

All Multilogin 6 users will eventually be migrated – you can’t opt out. Once your account is up for migration, you’ll get an email with the next steps.

Want to get migrated sooner? Follow these steps:

  1. Download version 6.5 and install it
  2. Start version 6.5 and click “Migrate to MLX”

This will add your account to the migration queue, and you’ll get updates via email.

What happens in version 6

When you run version 6, you may see this pop-up:

Your version of Multilogin has been discontinued. Please update to the latest version to continue using the software.

Click "Get updates" to close the pop-up and continue using Multilogin 6 if you haven't received an email confirming your account migration.

How to access the new Multilogin after migration

Once your account is migrated, you may see this notification when trying to start profiles in Multilogin 6:

Please use the new Multilogin version. You are migrated.

Here's what you need to do next:

  1. Open the new Multilogin version link in your browser
  2. Enter your Multilogin 6 email to the “Email” field
  3. Paste your old Multilogin 6 password into an online SHA1 converter
  4. Click “Hash” and copy the generated value
  5. Enter this value into the “Password” field
  6. Once you log in, you will be able to change your account password safely

Don't remember your Multilogin 6 password? Click “Forgot password” on the login page of the new Multilogin version.

Don't reset your password in Multilogin 6 – you'll lose all your data.

How to restore profile tabs after migration

If your tabs have disappeared, don't panic – you can usually restore them in one step. Use this shortcut in your browser profile:

  • Windows: Ctrl + Shift + T
  • macOS: Cmd + Shift + T
