Seeing errors like the one below?

No need to panic! These pop up when you reset your password using the “Forgot password” option. Here’s what’s happening and how to bounce back 🙌
What’s going on?
Your master password is the secret sauce that locks your session data (cookies, history, tabs, etc.). Resetting it with “Forgot password” breaks the connection, meaning that data stored on our server becomes inaccessible.
But don’t worry – you can still move forward!
- Remember your old password? Awesome! Contact support, and we’ll help you restore your profiles.
- Can’t recall it? Here’s how to keep going with minimal hassle ⬇️
Quick recovery steps
If you don’t remember your old password, your data is effectively locked. Unless you can recall the old password, there’s no way to access it. In this case, you can only take a few steps to partially resolve the issue and get back to work.
- Clone profiles in the unassigned group: these will keep your settings and proxy details, but cookies, history, and other session data will be lost
- Delete existing groups and profiles within: profiles in groups can’t be cloned and will cause encryption errors down the line
- Create fresh profiles and groups: build new profiles to replace the inaccessible ones
- Re-add team members: delete and re-invite team member to avoid encryption errors
How to avoid this in the future
To safely update your password, use the “Change password” feature under the “My account” tab. This keeps everything intact and avoids any hiccups.
