How to convert browser profile storage in Multilogin
Need to use the same browser profile on another computer? Move it to cloud storage. Keeping your work on one machine and want faster loading? Switch it to local storage. You don’t need to recreate the profile.
➡️ Go to “Profiles” → “Browser”, select the profile, and click “Convert storage” in the right-click menu.
Your profile data stays intact while Multilogin changes where it’s stored.
📱Android cloud phones are always cloud-based, so this feature is available only for browser profiles.

Before you convert a profile
Check the profile size first:
- Local to cloud: up to 100 MB
- Cloud to local: up to 2 GB
How to convert profile storage
- Go to the “Profiles” tab in the top menu
- Select “Browser” from the left-side selector
- Select one or more profiles using checkboxes
- Right-click any profile and select “Convert storage”
Selected profiles will be automatically converted to the opposite type (local ↔ cloud).

How to check storage type
Find the profile in the browser profile list and check the “Storage” column:
- ☁️ Cloud: available online and across devices
- 💻 Device: stored on your device

FAQ
Will I lose cookies, logins, or session data after converting storage?
No. Storage conversion keeps the browser profile data intact. It only changes where the profile is stored.
Can I use a local profile on another computer after copying the files?
No. Local profiles are connected to the computer where they were created. Convert the profile to cloud storage if you need to use it on another device.
Can I delete local profile files after converting to cloud storage?
Yes. After a successful local-to-cloud conversion, the local profile files can be removed.
Why can’t I convert my profile?
Check the profile size:
- Local profiles must be 100 MB or smaller to move to cloud storage
- Cloud profiles must be 2 GB or smaller to move to local storage
Can I switch the storage type again later?
Yes. You can convert a browser profile again whenever your workflow changes.
Does Multilogin keep previous versions of my profile?
No. Storage conversion does not create a backup history. Multilogin uses the latest available profile data.
