How to create mobile profiles
What mobile profiles are
Mobile profiles are virtual Android devices in Multilogin that simulate real phone environments. They help you manage social media accounts, browse the web, and use apps with privacy and freedom from account restrictions.
Here's why they matter:
- Realistic simulations: choose from different device models, brands, and Android versions (10–15)
- Cost efficiency: pay only for the time you use, saving on proxy consumption
How to create a mobile profile
Creating a mobile profile is fast and simple. First, you’ll see a selector in the top-left corner where you can choose between “Browser” and “Mobile”. Select “Mobile” to start the mobile profile creation process. Then, click “Create” to access the settings.

Most settings come pre-filled, so you don’t need to worry about them. In most cases, you can simply name the profile, check the proxy, and click “Create”. Let’s walk through each section you’ll see when creating a mobile profile.
General settings
Profile name
Good news: only you (and your team, if shared) can see your profile names – websites can’t. So feel free to name them whatever helps you stay organized! Here are some quick tips:
- Be specific: include the platform or purpose (e.g., “FB_Ad_Team1” or “Amazon_Seller_UK”)
- Keep it short & readable: 2–4 words max (e.g., “LinkedIn_LeadGen_Alice”)
- Follow a naming rule (if in a team): so everyone stays in sync and finds what they need faster

Note
The notes feature lets you add short comments to individual profiles or entire folders. It’s perfect for reminders, status updates, or sharing quick context with your team (max 1500 characters).

Phone numbers are used when an app requires SMS verification, such as during registration or login. When a mobile profile is running, it can receive SMS messages like a real phone.
What to choose:
- Auto-generated number: we assign a random phone number that matches the country of your selected IP from our carrier libraries
- Custom number: you use your own prepaid SIM card and phone number, if you want to receive messages on that specific number
