How to create and launch your first profile in Multilogin X
Creating a profile in Multilogin X is quick and easy. Click the “New profile” button on the right side of the screen and follow these simple steps to get started.

Step 1: configure essential settings
- Choose an operating system: it should match your original OS (macOS, Windows, Linux) to avoid fingerprint discrepancies
- Choose the browser profile type: Mimic is built on Chrome and Stealthfox is built on Firefox – and both protect against detections equally well!
- Choose the storage type: If you plan to work in a team or use the same profile on multiple devices, select cloud storage
Once a profile is created, it's not possible to change the above settings anymore.
Built on Chromium, Mimic gives you undetectable browsing with full fingerprint control, proxy support, and top-tier anti-detect tech – perfect for scraping, ads, and multi-account work.

Step 2: configure a proxy
For online privacy, proxies are hands-down the best bet – you can give each profile its own IP, making them look like completely different users.
Learn more about proxies and other IP-masking solutions in our section Proxies & IP masking.
- ✅ Use Multilogin proxy service for free premium residential IPs
- 🔄 Or use a third-party proxy by following this setup guide

Always check your proxy connection before launching the profile.
Step 3: configure location and advanced settings (for advanced users)
Good news! You usually don’t need to tweak location and advanced settings – we’ve got them optimized for you.
Of course, if you’re curious, you can check out the Fingerprints section to explore customization options.

We don’t recommend making random changes. Tweaking these settings can alter your fingerprint, which might trigger restrictions or bans on certain sites. Sticking to the default settings is almost always your best move!
Step 4: create and launch your profile
- Click “Create profile” to save your settings

- Head back to the “Profiles” tab, find your profile, and hit “Launch” to open it
Before launching a profile, make sure your agent is connected!
