How to fix a profile stuck on active status

If your Multilogin profile is stuck on “Stop” and just won’t budge – don’t panic. It’s usually fixable in a few quick steps!
Why this happens
This usually happens when you close the browser profile with ❌ instead of stopping the profile from the dashboard.
Closing profiles the wrong way can lead to data loss. Always end sessions from the dashboard.
How to fix it
- Double-check that the profile isn't running elsewhere (another device or browser instance)
- Restart the desktop app 🖥️ or reconnect the agent, if you're on the web interface 🌐

- Recreate the issue or wait until the error message appears
- Archive the logs folder found in these locations:
